Angora Goats

Angora Goats are fun, smart and give us a wonderful shiney,
soft, strong coat twice a year. White Mohair also takes dye
very well.   For the home spinner (who has a little experience)
it is a fun fiber to spin.  Ply one strand of Mohair and one
strand of wool and you have a yarn that is hard to beat. It can
be felted, but takes longer to felt up, but is worth the try.

Baby season is coming!  Over the years, I have been blessed with easy
deliveries of my kids.

My goats are excellent mothers and create a strong bond with their babies.  Since
they have smaller babies than dairy goats, it does not hurt to put a little sweater
on newborns to help ward off a early-spring morning chill.  Make sure they get the
colostrum (mother's first milk) and out of any drafts.

I test for CAE and CL in my goats and have my vet give rabbie shots in the fall to
those who are old enough.  Always be on the look out for odd behavior in your
animals (call a vet or an experience sheppard if needed).

A $100 deposit will hold a kid for you, If you do not have an Angora goat already,
please remember, goats are herd animals and are much happier in pairs.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have before and after the purchase

Hermonie and Midnight are hoping for twins in June!
Bette Boop and her Red Kid Buckling right after birth - 4 am on April 6, 2009.   See how wet he is?   Bette Boop was red as a kid
also.  They both have blue eyes.  He has a  star on his forehead.   So cute and strong!
His sire, Midnight is a wonderful 3 year old buck.  Just as gentle as when he came to our home.  So far Brutis is just like his dad.
Above is Bette Boop and Brutis about a week old.
Magnolia and her black doe kid.  She will be going to her
new home this summer and when they name her I'll post it.  I
have never seen such a black doe.  DOB:  4/29/09.  Her
new family visited her today!  Thank you Regina and Todd!
We Tested negative for CAE in 2008!

Bette Boop and her son Brutis at about a week old.
This is one of Bette Boops doe twins.
She was a wonderful mom last year
with Brutis.  This year not so good.
She is now feeding one of the twins
and will let this one feed when she is
eating.  Hopefully both will be nursing
and this mom can take a break.

4/24/10.  Their dad, Midnight is black.
He is a good boy.
